Melissa Ramsey is a self-proclaimed MUSICpreneur and Indie Boss. In 2014, she founded her media firm, Assilem Media. Melissa's MUSICpreneurship journey began in 2011 with her first studio project, The LadyGun EP. She toured the country with this project before relocating to Los Angeles, where she established Assilem Media as a consultancy for MUSICpreneurs. Finding success with Melrose boutiques and celebrity fashion designers, Melissa moved her operations to the 18th & Vine Jazz District in the Historic Lincoln Building in Kansas City, Missouri. After three years in PR, branding, and design, she played a key role in revitalizing and rebranding the Mutual Musicians' Foundation, the world's oldest Jazz House. Melissa has contributed to brand campaigns for GoDaddy, The Missouri Arts Council, 18th & Vine Jazz District First Fridays, International Jazz Day, and Meta. She is an award-winning philanthropist, artist, and creative. Melissa resides in the Midwest with her two sons, Kendall (19) and Myles (17), both college students, and Pierre the Pit Bull. Now an empty nester, she continues to drive innovation and creativity in the media space. Assilem Media exists to act as a storyteller for brands on and offline.
